Valentine's Day

Hope everyone had a Happy Love Day.   We were all feeling the love over at our place.  Especially Little Lady.  Outfit compliments of Omi.  She just can't stop herself! (And who am I to tell her otherwise??)

We kept it pretty chill this year.  I don't know why or how Valentine's has become what it is.  Not that I mind so much now that I have the love of my life to celebrate with.  (Being single on that day was a real bummer sometimes).

Plus, I get some of my art itches out in the form of frosting cookies!!  Hooray for the cookie tradition.  Apparently I wasn't the only one with the desire to keep the childhood memory alive.  My brother called to get the recipe too.

I shouldn't take all the credit though.  The MB helped with the cookie making.  We kind of went in shifts.  I pulled out the recipe and got some ingredients ready then got called back to parental duties.  Later I saw the MB actually made the dough, then she had to take care of some stuff.  So the next day I actually rolled out the cookies, etc.  I think she got the easier job.  There were tons of cookies!  I took a bunch over to the neighbors.  Remove temptation.

I got a love letter from The Man which was a nice little treat.  I love Love letters.  He got one too, though he beat me to it.  He also took me to my (our?) favorite Indian restaurant.  It's SO GOOD!  But SO EXPENSIVE.  We decided to enjoy it since it'll be our last time going there for a long while.  Or at least until our bank account has recovered.

I don't know why the day felt so special.  We didn't really do anything too out of the ordinary except eat heart-shaped cookies.  And wrote each other letters.  Maybe it's the holiday that makes one remember how much in love one actually can be with someone else, and what a miracle it can actually feel like.  Anyone vomiting yet?  Okay, I'll stop now.

  1. Glad you had a good V-day. Your brother gave me a potted rose, a kiss and said, "Whew! Glad that's over until next year!" I told him the comment kinda spoiled everything else. But then he made me dinner and the cookies, so we're all good now. : )
