Happy Chinese New Year!! Goodbye Dragon, Hello Horse! We had dinner with all our favorite people at our go-to Chinese restaurant. (Pam and Jason's, but it's actually got a real name...I can't remember). Actually we celebrated a day early, but who's counting? Is that considered bad luck?? Hope not.
I apologize if advance for the picture quality. It was actually fairly dark inside and I didn't want to use my flash (the coloring is HORRIBLE...I'm sure there's a way around that but...ya). So a lot of the pictures are very red and very blurry.

Noodles! |
Not sure what he ate more of...the noodles, the rice or the ice in nearby glasses of water |
I got to wear my Chinese dress that The Man's Auntie gave me last time we were in Malaysia. (I have to wear it with leggings...it's a tish short) |
A quick family picture in all our Chinese outfits before the kids were put to bed |
Hooray for Chinese New Year! I, yet again, did not decorate for it. I so want to but I never seem to get around to stuff like that. And I have lots of fun lanterns that we got from Malaysia. Maybe once the dust settles I can handle the idea of bringing stuff out.
Anyway, we had a lovely dinner with friends and family and I'm glad we got to celebrate. The kids were very well behaved, thankfully! I hope it's one we will celebrate every year and that it may become a significant event for our children. It's a wonderfully rich culture that I don't want to loose from our VERY American lifestyle's.
Happy Chinese New Year!!!
Lady Chan
So I have to guess: the top fortune is the Man's and the bottom is Lady Chan's, right? Love the family picture and the outfits!
